The Eamon Dunphy Thread

nobody did well out of that movie. They were all made out to be cunts

Not seen the film tbh, bit I never really understood the love for the book either.

It was very well written as was his book about Shankly.

Was ok but there was one about Liverpool and Shakly a few years later and i tolerated 30 pages .

It was grim and uninteresting I thought

I enjoyed it.

My dad and gilesy are pals. He’s supposedly the nicest man you’d ever meet (I never did), so I perhaps didn’t like it from that. I found it a bit neither wan thing nor the other.

Bit left field Eamon Dunphy is back on newstalk?

Excellent news.

Well he’s on discussing the euros and what not.

This is gold

what’s Gold about that?

You’re an odd fella.

Dunphy saying the exact opposite of what he’d said on radio the previous week.

Yet he’d to wait until Bill pointed it out to him what he said on radio before admitting to being wrong.

Giles and Dunphy would have had Paul Jewell appointed. His lack of managerial progress since that point suggests that may have been a bad idea. Trying to coax interest in the job from Liam Brady too😂

Brady didn’t have much of a managerial career but in international football a lot of nations have gone for the famous former player.

Brady was auditioning for the Beckenbauer type gig

Packie Bonner had that role. A big man in UEFA circles

Brady failed when managing Celtic even when you take in to account the financial constraints at the time.

I like him as an analyst also
