Surely the room temps wouldnāt be dropping below 18/19 during the summer anyway ? Especially this summer
No. My house is over 15 years old so they werenāt in existence back then.
You could look at demand controlled ventilation (DCV) is some rooms like master bedroom, main bathroom etc. check out aereco on google. You could also look at the individual decentralised systems like https://www.partel.ie/ventilation-systems/
But if it aint brokeā¦
The standard day unit price is 34c on that plan. The house would want to be empty all day and evening. Compared to those rotten cunts SSE Airtricity (23c/unit) currently who have just announced a 35% price increase. Thereās very little difference between any of these providers right now unless you live in unique circumstances where you get up at 11pm and go to bed at 6am. I got a smart meter installed about 2 months ago. I asked me man about it when he was installing it and he told me he had no idea how it works and gave me a leaflet to read. I knew less about the smart meter after reading the leaflet but since have done a bit of reading about it. If switching to a provider to has a plan for smart meter youāre meter must have good enough network connection to send energy usage details back to the ESB every 30 mins. If it canāt do that itās a complete waste of time

Theyāre only tiny packets of data sent half hour. They should also be able to store a log of them if connection drops and send them all when connection improves again.
Correct but the provider wonāt put you on a night rate plan if your connection isnāt level 3 or level 4. You can then only use the meter as a non smart meter for the purpose of determining your energy cost
I signed up for that. Iāve the immersion on for 15 hours. Iāll buy a few electric heaters for free Saturday heat in winter too.
Iāll see how it goes. Can break it for 50 euro.
They are sneaky enough - the 22 per cent paperless and direst debit discount on other rates is only 8.5 per cent on this rate
Yerrah stock up on a few jumpers.
Throw a few coats on the bed like the old days.

Aran jumpers will be back in vogue
I bought a load of wood pellets last year when they were cheap.
Cheap one can be shite. Fully moisture and causes havoc on the burner, or so the mother tells me
@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy game changer. Get the SEAI to throw this on the grant scheme
