Iturbe went off injured last night and looks like he could be out of action for some time. The season has really petered out for us, I blame Garcia, we have become too predictable and he has not utilised his squad or the fringe players at all. Ucan and Paredes should have been afforded much more opportunities, we need to be more attacking in games and he has been consevrative. We’ve needed to take the ascendancy in games but instead we have started out on the back foot.
In our last 10 games, we have only won three times, we have only scored more than once in a game on three ocassions, we conceded first in 6 of those 10 games. Fiorentina are up on Wednesday night in the Coppa, not looking forward to it.
Juve dropped points today to keep our faint hopes alive. Juve have Milan up next at home, hopefully Destro can relight our title hopes.
Ibarbo signs on a 6 month loan deal at a cost of €2.5m and the option to purchase outright at the end of the season for €12.5m.
I really, really like Ibarbo and I’m surprised it took him this long to get a big move. He’s very versatile as well.
We’re also signing Nicolas Spolli from Catania for €3m. He’s a centre back and it’s an area we’re a little light in with Castan’s situation.

Strootman has been ruled out for the rest of the season after injuring his knee again. Gervinho and Doumbia should be available next week after their involvement in the African Nations ended yesterday.
