Cregan bring present day relevance to the show ( albeit talking about a 1930s icon ).

I’m very confused by this show. I thought hurling was invented in Clare in 1995

Sadly I fear that’ll be the only glimpse of a Laois Jersey we’ll see on this show

A young Ted Carroll with a cup there, god be good to him

“The game in the 50s and 60s was so different to the modern game.”

Yeah, it was shit.

The Rackards were box office.

That was Bobby, Jim.

It took 70 years to come up with the “tactical innovation” of catching the ball in the air.

Appendage senior was friendly with Billy. We used to frequent his little pitch and putt in St Helen’s.

A proper legend.

A touch of class from the wexford lads to chair ring off the field:clap::clap:

That slow-mo of Ozzie Gleeson’s goal was class tbf.

Did they show any clips of Wheeler? Is he the only Leixman to win an All Ireland?

Lee Chin on :unamused:

Player interviews haven’t really changed in 50 years. :grinning:

Class goal by Tipperary’s Sean McLoughlin there in the 1964 final, throwing the ball into the net.

It took 70 years before it was safe to put your hand up and not have it cleaved off at the elbow more like

I’m not sure why but the game of hurling seems to have you hopping around like a sliothar on a 1940s solo run
