We had a cross border grant in Derry which enabled us to become full time ga/ camogie/ handball coaches in 12/14 schools in the greater Derry area , introduction to GAA a first for a lot of the kids, now hurling underage is thriving, wasnât ,but a few strong clubs , interested teachers/ parents, boils down to money, pay coaches to visit schools
Investment in games promotion officers just like the have done in Dublin. And proper promotion of the Christy Ring etc. In fairness there is actual progress being made in a lot of counties. Armagh and Tyrone for example have came on a lot in the last few years. By all accounts Ulster is doing a lot of work to promote the game and have good structures. The way the championship is set up though teams hit a glass ceiling and interest tends to fall. Meath Carlow Westmeath etc have all suffered from this.
Nope, participation levels are great
Very easy for the GGA lot to defend themselves when they arenât exposed to international competition.
Go away boy
