Ze vinds of change

Sticking with the EU theme, dEUS had three very good albums.

And sticking with the Benelux, I’m sure you’ve encountered The Ex at some stage @Fagan_ODowd ?

Not really. My favourite Benelux music was the R&S record label. Iconic.

My favourite Benelux act are Gruppo Sportivo a silly Dutch post punk band that did very catchy songs.

Musical dead spots in the EU
Spain Unless you like Julio Iglesias or the Macarena.
Portugal
Croatia
Romania
Bulgaria.
Luxembourg
Hungary
Finland
Poland - though I have an album of Polish jazz here
Cyprus

Smaller countries of the EU who have made a contribution to my musical life.
Austria - Monoton
Denmark - Laid Back - Bakerman was a staple of MT USA. Lars von Trier directed the video.
Czech Republic - Shoegaze band the Ecstasy of Saint Theresa and Hippies the Plastic People of the Universe
Greece - Vangelis
Slovenia - Laibach, the Industrial Rock band.

Shout out to Yello from neutral Switzerland

Efterklang and Iceage have had some decent records from the Danes

The Swedes are king of Nordic pop. Abba, Eagle Eye, Avicii, Roxette, Cardigans, Lykke Li, Tove Lo and tonnes more.

Tove Lo has a guilty pleasure of mine ,- Disco Tits
