Fontaines set here (minus last two songs)

There’s a Fontaines set on YT from a week or so ago at a German festival call Southside. Lashing rain , tiny tiny crowd. I’m not a fan of them but they pucked it out in fairness. The few fans who were there got lucky. Maybe they’re not that popular in Germany yet. It looked bizarre

Saw Kasabian in the Opera House, Cork in 2014. It was iconic! Tom is a great lead man and yes they are a lesser band without him, but he beat up on his wife/partner and was quite rightly shown the door.

Processed Beatings

By the band but not the wife

Pretty lame

The only ones that stand out to me are TV On The Radio, Deftones, Osees.
The rest, I either have no idea who they are, or wouldn’t be interested in seeing them. Maybe Neil Young but not sure I’d be able to put up with 10 minute jam alongs.

The 1975 :boom:

TVOTR and OSees both playing that fest in Glendalough in June.
Saw TVOTR about 20 years ago and they were quite disappointing live.
Saw OSees a few years ago and they were absolutely rockin’.

Was that in the Button Factory? I was at that. They are patchy live alright. OSees would be worth a look alright. Same with the festival in Glendalough, only a handful of bands I’d like to see.
I am going to see The Jesus and Mary Chain live, at last, this year. That’ll do me for now.

The headline acts are a bit meh this year but some great acts way down the bill when you look at the small print.
