Do you want to provide evidence for your accusation of me on a thread that I’m not allowed to respond to you on or can I assume you’re talking thru your ass again.

Surely our PSB should have a climate correspondent @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy?
i thought that ex FG dude was?
Oh yeah, isn’t George Lee some kind of environment correspondent alright?
Athena Media is ex RTÉ (former head of radio) so maybe an axe to grind there
All they have to do is give the funky Gibbon a call.
Hi
Can you tell Eamon there are enough roof tops both residential & industrial throughout the country which can take solar panels inside of wasting prime agricultural land.
Thanks
They have a new scheme this week for mid sized roofs to earn money.
Prime agriculture land in ireland is used for dairy so we can export proetein shakes abroad, better use of the land is solar panels tbh
Huge disruption throughout building is an issue.
Most I’ve seen proposed recently are in close vicinity of residential houses off non national, small rural roads.
Seems to be concerns about products used to keep panels clean & runoff into waterways.
You would imagine there are better places with better access to grids available via Industrial roof tops.
Another site which would appear better placed are closed bogs with access to the grid also.
Using prime agricultural land is also mental as opposed to actual non productive marginal land.
Not all land.
Tillage land could be needed going forward. Taking prime land out of commission for 35 years plus appears fool hardy when current Roof tops can access more surface area for a fraction of cost and disruption to the public.
Sorry, agriculture is destroying our waterways, they are beyond filthy and muldoons have no issues with that yet solar panels which is clean energy cause outrage?
I dont get it tbh
Discharge from Sewage systems towns & cities a far bigger emitter than agriculture
A look at the EPA website suggests agriculture is the main cause
Also you have rural tds and farm bodies arguing for a derogation to be allowed to continue to pollute yet people in rural ireland are arguing against clean energy
The majority of septic tanks here are defective. Half of all sewage plants here enter water systems.
Yet these are magical nitrates that aren’t counted on.
If everyone in the areas providing these nitrates had to lose 10% of income to offset their emissions it wouldn’t be long getting sorted.
On the banks, of my own lovely Lee….
Why are the government letting private equity companies build these solar farms?
Like the ESB previously should the government not be the owner/suppliers to the grid to properly regulate pricing etc?
The good old EPA
