All the while Air Travel gets cheaper, people book flights to America to go clothes shopping. But hey, emissions from Air Craft is okay and thousands of flights daily is cool too.

A high speed train network is needed under the irish and celtic seas
We could do with even a moderate all Island real network first. We’ve less connectivity now than nearly 100 years ago

Even scheduling would help. For example, a train from Nenagh and surrounds that gets to Limerick for 8am would be helpful.
Galway to Limerick train is 2 hours+ long. 45 mins drive any more so wholl take the train?
