The problem is wolves require a decent sized territory to roam and hunt. Youre never far from some co2 producing farm here and the farmers will poison the wolves or shoot them… Didn’t they do the same to the reintroduced eagles? Rural people have no respect for wildlife or ecosystems… It’s something to destroy for profit to them.

Since we are building everyone in Donegal a house anyway could we not just move them all to say Monaghan or somewhere and rewild it and put Wolves up there.
If they left Donegal then they would either be eating Leitrim people or Protestants. Seems like a no brainer.
Then they could stop complaining about no railway or motorway in Donegal as well. Road traffic deaths would plummet. Finn Harps could play in Monaghan then reviving LOI in the county. Monaghan could win a football all Ireland.

Could some.mad fucker with a bent for seeing wolves return go buy a pack and just let them off? Or just buy one or two here and there, bring em back on the ferry and release?
Where would a man make purchase of said wolves? Belgium would seem a good start according to the article- could trapping them and re-releasing become an industry like possum catchers in Oz?
