The Gut Health Thread

If you ate the weed you wouldn’t have deal with the downside of smoking related diseases har, did you ever think about eating it instead of smoking it?

Its fascinating, mood disorders, irrational behaviour, suicide could all be linked directly to diet. Maybe this is the reason western countries have low happiness, increased mental health problems. That as wealth increases people in these countries feel worse about their lives. Their frantic economies mean a proliferation of the necessity fast food options.

Pal i want you to corner the market here before bressie, read up, watch a few ted talks and start giving lectures to the oirish with the sugary ketchup from that mornings breakfast rolls still dribbled on their chins

You watch your step in how you address me here you cunt.

Don’t be like that har.

You’ve the personality of a dry fanny. Keep rubbing it.

Dear Lord. You poor young fella. Real juvenilespeak there har, smarten up will you.

No.

Small glass of butter milk and 150g of Saurkraut.

Gonna keep this up everyday for a month to see changes.

I enjoy sauerkraut myself but don’t eat it often enough. Never realised it’s good for your gut? Where would you recommend getting good sauerkraut?

Any pickles are good for your gut - Onions, gherkins etc. the acidic nature is great for the colon

You’re at nothing if you’re not brewing your own kombucha.

Doesn’t your fella Brady eat an non acidic diet or something like that?

Dont know, bro – Not really up to date on his dietary advice — I wouldnt agree with the bits I have heard but it seems to work for him.

You need to get into Kimchi mate.

you have to be careful with the bloated acidic lifestyle

If I eat all these acidic foods and then drink a load of alkaline water I reckon I’ll have the best of both Worlds. A gut neutrality that Switzerland would be envious of.

I don’t know whether it was the last of the badness from the weekend leaving me, or the healthy high fibre lunch with pickles etc involved in it, but my gut bacteria just decided to evacuate the building en masse. A combination of both I think. I already had a normal shite this morning.

A little bloating is an ok trade off for pure optimum cognitive functioning.

All these people walking around depressed like bressie are looking to their head for the answer when they should be looking to their gut.

I stand to be corrected but as far as i know only the unpasteurised sauerkraut is has the health benefits you’re looking for, i don’t think the supermarket stuff fits the bill. It’s not pickled at all, there’s no vinegar involved, it’s actually a fermented product and contains only cabbage (maybe carrot as well) and salt. There’s a lad in the Saturday market that sells the good stuff

Correct - you are looking for unpasteurised sauerkraut .
