Hovland ripped it apart on Day 1 too.
A lot of the players were having digs at him today.
It doesn’t bear thinking about. Spurning $3m because he’s feeling sorry for himself just isn’t on.
Clearly he’s become a weak-minded imitation of his former self - too much money is the root of it.
Imagine if poor oul’ Mayo adopted that attitude 15 years ago - I’ll grudgingly credit their resilience.
In Rors we trust.
They say a Masters victory is worth $15 million to a player over a few years.
It may be time and money well spent.
Low hanging fruit is of no interest to our Rory.
In other news I’m currently watching the golf on Sky. These manufactured chirping bird sounds are incredibly annoying. Was a lad there a minute ago, about to putt, 100yds from shrubbery when the bird music came blasting out. These Yanks must think we’re a gullible lot.
Was in Hilton Head years ago. Lovely spot. Played a bit of golf there too.
Much blackcurrants or sloes did you notice ???
There’s an RTE travelogue in you - Foraging with Fagan.
No mainly alligators as it happens.
McIlroy two back from the leader David Lipsky in Ohio. There’s a chance of a Holywood GC double tomorrow between the two tours with Tom McKibbin in a share of the lead at the Porsche Open, which I doubt has ever been done
McKibbin does his bit, big win for a 20 yr old. He’s a serious prospect.
Rory in with a sniff now.
The course has sucked most in & spat them all back out bar Scheffler.
Denny putting too well to be beat.
Just after getting the break of his life right there
Stick a fork in Rory for this week
You feel it’s only a matter of time here
What’s the tournament? Is he winning?
He has just been well and truly shafted by the PGA Tour. I have to agree with his stance on the Saudis and their money but he’s been left in a tricky spot now with the merger. Maybe they will all put it behind them and move on, who knows.
When you dig into it he wasn’t really shafted. The pga tour were running out of money . The PIF had unlimited funds.
