The Ian Bailey is dead thread

No alibi, scratches on his hands and face, burning stuff on Stephenā€™s Day, knew the victim, raging alcoholic with a history of attacking women. The Gardaiā€™s behaviour likely got him off. He should be thanking them.

What do you mean no alibi ?

The partner said he got up out of the bed during the night snd she didnā€™t see him til the morning. He said he was downstairs but shure look 'it.

Iā€™m fairly certain heā€™d an article to submit.

The newspaper involved claimed theyā€™d contact with him the evening of the murder and said he hadnā€™t even started yet he had it submitted the following morning.

There literally isnā€™t a shred of evidence.

Aye, an article about a muyda.

if he was gong to murder a woman, the statistical likelihood wouldve been that he killed jules thomas, not STDP

That may well be but thereā€™s a lot of circumstantial evidence against him. What leaned me towards thinking he did it were his attempts to explain away the evidence. Not very convincing at all. The only thing going for him was Gardai incompetence.

As wide as a missing gate?

The fact the guards pressured that Marie Farrell into changing her description initially is key.

Would the guards really have risked Leaving a killer out there just to do in Bailey? Or did the guard know something about the killing and wanted everyone
To think it was Bailey.

It makes me think the guards knew a little more than was ever let on.

The trainer killer was another theory. He able it look like a murder of passion of sorts but left not a shred of evidence behind.

A drunk Bailey is a million to one to have not left evidence imo.

Even the stuff about Bailey having five minutes to spare when driving from his house to the scene of the murder wasnā€™t true.

Heā€™d over two hours.

There is very little circumstantial evidence truth be told.

I also suspect he didnā€™t/doesnā€™t have the intelligence to pull it off

Thereā€™s enough to have him as a suspect. The Gardai fucked the case up so no one will ever know. His family think he did it which means it was likely someone local rather than some French hit man in on treble time during the Christmas. There are no other suspects.

She was battered with a rock at her front gate. There wasnā€™t much by the way of precision planning.

That might be exactly what the killer wants you to think.

Her marriage had broken up to a multi millionaire
Apparently he wasnā€™t too happy at the thoughts of her getting a few bob. Thereā€™s s theory out there that he sent someone over to do the needy .

Aye I think that was concocted by himself lad.

I doubt it.

It was suspicious enough as she was in contact with Daniel the night of the murder. Theyā€™d agreed to spend new years together.

Yet when the news broke she was murdered he opted to stay In France as opposed to travel to cork. Her family at the time werenā€™t impressed.

No. Donā€™t think it was

Think the French and Irish both looked at that angle and found nothing untoward. The French all think it was a local.

If Bailey is innocent, 40% of his lifetime has been a complete living nightmare.
