Iād have put it on the ground, same result but higher percentage (off the right boot)
Itās a sideline ball.
Good point, funny I didnāt consider that,
I wouldnāt be shooting in that case, letās move on
Heās left footed.
I see that,
Itās just an old debate, that kick suits a right footer off the ground, itās a much higher percentage shot in my opinion
It was a fine score
As I said he did similar in the first half, he has the skill level required to repeat.
Yes but if lots of things had been different than what actually went on, he would be right.
You could of done what you want bud, I donāt think youāre scoring it.
That type of shot was a specialty of mine, once scored one from there with the last kick to level an u21 county final
Yeah but did you score ALL the points.
if not I wouldnāt be going on about it.
Well if somebody has decided from my internet postings that I could never in my life kick the ball over the bar from a sideline Iāll need to have my say, Iām not taking away from the Clare chap at all
Whoāll be first to give it the TNH treatment?
I might have to root out the Examiner write up
I believe you. Iām just wondering who you think will be the first to charge at that post.
Thatās not the point though. Would you have been able to put it over from the other side? Thatās with the outside of your speciality right foot?
I wouldnāt even try that, it was a great point, and I hadnāt realised it was a sideline, forget about it
Cork
Youāve brought us too far in to turn back now
Itās a funny thing to think that a good number of lads think it impossible for somebody posting in a forum to kick a point from the sideline.
Iāve mentioned a few times before that I was a decent free taker, I wouldnāt consider a free from that spot a huge deal, Iād fancy my chances 20 years ago, but obviously I wouldnāt attack it in the manner of the Clare chap,
So, his kick was superb,
