Mariners just need a draw tonight to secure the Premiers Plate.
1-0 up at HT against Adelaide, courtesy of our local boy hero Jacob Farrell. Can we do it?
Incidentally, Jacob is just back from playing for the Olyroos (Australian U23’s), looks set to be the first player from my local club, Wyoming FC, to play for the Siocceroos.

We win! 2-0, second time we’ve won the Premiers Plate (League Champions).
Into the finals series now and hopefully a repeat of last year.
Fair play to Wellington Phoenix who have led the league for most of the season and played great football. A Mariners / Wellington final would be the people”s match.
On Sunday the Mariners play Lebanese champions, Al Ahed, in the AFC Cup final (kind of like the Europa league final for Asia). We will earn a tonne of money out of this which is great. But brilliant to see an A League club in an Asian final, first time in 10 years.
We brought back a women’s team this year as well, finally. This shows a great commitment from the new owners of the club who have been fantastic. Unfortunately the girls were knocked out in the finals last weekend but brighter days ahead.
After the trauma of the Charlesworth ownership years and feeling betrayed for the longest time, I’m excited about supporting this club again.
