Down and Kildare looking down on Offaly hurling. How did it come to this

@Glentaisie do Down still have just the 3 senior teams? Ballycran, Ballygalget and Portaferry?

Duignan out

Thats a shock. Technically they have 4 senior clubs, the 3 Ards ones and Bredagh. Bredagh actually won their first ever senior championship game this year so do have a few players.

is that in the whole county? or is there a few more play inter\junior?

Are offaly out?

There would be a few inter/ junior clubs, Carryduff, Newry Shamrocks, Liatroim, Warrenpoint. I havent seen the make up of the current Down panel but usually its 6/ 7/ 8 from each of the 3 Ards clubs then add in a few more from the other clubs.

Bredagh and Carryduff are South Belfast clubs that only started up in the 70sā€¦ Apparently have big numbers at underage now and are competing with the Ards teams now underage. Bredagh are now senior and were more competitive this year. If Carryduff could get up to senior then can only be good for the county.
