The Joy of Six

 Move along Tittrots mate, you hold no value around here, fuck off to kingoftheboggers.com with your childish bullshit.

:frowning:

Top 6 Dublin Footballers of my time
Mullins
Barr
Curran
Whelo
Barney
Hargan

At least have the stones to make up yer mind on six and stick to it you windy, watery cunt.

No Charlie (the darling of the hill TM) or Jayo? Met Hargan once, seemed an alright sort. Mullins on the other hand is a soul aul cunt.

Is this the first time you’ve made top 6 in anything you mindnumbingly boring fuckwit dicktard?

If so count your blessings i stretched it out to accomodate you.

Now, go fuck yourself.

Who would you leave off?
Barney for Charlie? No way
Hargan an outstanding fullback
Mullins one of the few that could go toe to toe with the Kerry lads
Curran was a classy classy footballer
Whelo dragged us along for years
Barr= legend

I didn’t make the top six though. I came joint 9th you dimwitted, one-trick pony, unoriginal, mess of a man.

Hilarity ensues.

Good list, hard to argue with it. I’d probably substitute John O’Leary for Mullins seeing as Mullins was gone by the time I started going to matches.

In the interests of masochism:
Six Dublin championship defeats in my time:
6. 1994 v Down
The final act in Charlie Redmond’s missed penalty trilogy. Utterly horrid day, I had this really crap anorak on and the rain leaked down the back of my neck for the whole game. The rest of me go soaked as well. After that I have never worn a coat to match on the hill when it’s raining, you’re just better off accepting the inevitable.
5. 1993 v Derry
Dublin were dominant for most of the first half, and looked to still have the bit between their teeth until the last twelve minutes. Then Derry began to relentlessly reel them in. Dublin were beaten for fitness that day, the players were nearly at a standstill by the end. First time I was ever on the Hill for a really big match, always had gone to either the Cusack or the Canal before that.
4. 2007 v Kerry
Most of the defeats of this decade didn’t hurt that much because Dublin weren’t good enough or it was easier to lose to certain counties than others, but this one was tough enough to take, as it probably would have meant the All-Ireland. Dublin would have murdered Cork in the final IMO. This was the first and only real chance of Sam since 1995. There was no shame in defeat, it was the best match of the year by a mile. A couple of things could have swung it: Cosgrove’s golden goal chnce was fluffed and Cluxton dithered and gave away possesion to Donaghy with only a point in it with five minutes left.
3. 2009 v Kerry
Little were we to know that this complete humiliation would be avenged with interest just six months later in a glorious redemption which rocked the Kingdom to its foundations.
2. 2000 v Kildare
This was quite horrible and I don’t want to talk about it.

  1. 1991 v Meath
Over the years I have come to simply come to accept that this was sporting history. Same as Thomas’ goal for Arsenal at Anfield, the team I wanted to win lost, but would it be remembered in the same way if it hadn’t happened? No.

A tragic list but required reading for any young dublin footballer
I’d add '92 AIF vs Donegal in place of the Kildare Leinster final loss to that list; a title thrown away, lads modelling clothes in the week before the game
I’d also consider Armagh in 2002, bringing D’arcy onto the pitch and then not allowing him take the last free.
Fuck I could go on here for a while so I’ll just call it quits

For someone who only ever comes on and licks dunphs arse, and throw in a few smileys or “fuck yous” you have a cheek to talk about being boring.

Dickhead.

I seriously doubt that. Cork are a good bit better than Dublin in recent years, its just they shit the course against Kerry. Can’t have seen Dublin doing to Tyrone what Cork did last year.

The present and new Dublin may be a better side in time though, i thought there was alot of shit (relatively speaking) playing for Dublin in last few years.

Good 6 there WTB. Strange thing is though, as good as Killkenny have been, centre back hasn’t been a very strong position for them.

was in tha Canal End for this and my main memory is when the Dubs came out of the old tunnel between the hogan and the canal right in front of us, Paddy Cullen the cocky prick out last and walked along in front of the whole canal, all the way behind the fucking goal looking into the donegal supporters smiling and admiring the colour of the redneck muldoons up for their first final.
for the dubs this was nothing more than a day out, they had it won before they left the dressing room, i was delighted for them how it turned out.
