Fitzgibbon was nowhere to be seen when the chips were down in the semi final, in fact I think he didn’t fancy it for a finish and went off in extra time.

Hayes walked all over him.
He’s up there with Tom Brady as one of the clutch players in sports.
Its genuinely hard to fathom how he was a minor in 2016.
He should be u21 next year as well by right. Class act.

I Was just about to post that. Vanished when he was needed. That’s what I like about hayes he really stepped up at vital moments in games.

Exactly, for example the Equaliser in PUC and a great score in Croker as we reeled them in while Fitzgibbon roared into Richie’s face when he thought the job was done

The ten minutes after half time in the all Ireland too when we needed somebody to step up and grab the game. It was the youngest man on the field.
