Don’t know where to put what I just saw on Sky Sports F1. The presenter Natalie Pickman was speaking with her co-presenters to Zak Brown about the teams chances at the weekend etc. In her opening exhanges, she noted Zak had lost some weight. She commented that the summer break was good to him and that he was looking slimmer. He commented that he wants to be able to fit into the racing cars. All fine, perhaps Natalie and Zak have a great off-camera friendship, maybe they don’t like each other, I don’t know.
Now, what if the shoe was on the other foot, what if a handsome 45 year old man said to a 51 year old overweight woman that the summer had been good to her and she was looking trimmer. He’d be cancelled, wouldn’t he?
What men have put women though over the years has been wrong, but should this kind of banter still exist?

Hey, the americans elected Reagan and Arnie to political office. This has been around for a while. Pacquiao, Weah, etc…We’re not exactly great in Ireland at electing individuals for the great of the country. Where I come from, someone gets half a hundred votes for every lampost he erects on a dark road, if he gets a pothole filled or if he gets an emergency passport for a child who hasn’t got their shit together. Zero thought given to record in government, and/or policies. The Irish electorate are largely sleepwalking, bumbling fools.
