The Let Kev at your Back thread

I didn’t enter A&E through the front door… I have a good mate whose a radiologist in there. In and out in 30 minutes and he’ll take a look later today when he gets in.

A nixer?

Nah… Just availing of the public system without the red tape mate.

In a related story… I broke my hand a few years ago in a hurling game on a Sunday morning. Our No 11 as a trainee vet at the time and sugested that instead of waiting hours to get an xray in UNHG that he would xray me where they xray the horses. So off we went… Twas pretty obvious I hand full displacement of a bone and I would need an operation.

I went straight to A&E and they never took another xray. The day after the operation the surgeon came to see me and asked me where the hell I had got the xray. I told him he was laughing but kind of anxious at the same time and told me under no circumstances should I divulge this info to anyone.

Its all who you know :pint:

Middle toe is fractured.

How long will it take before I can go back training?

Couple of weeks is all i would imagine. You could probably play within a week with an injection.

Cunts wearing blades on astro! I cleared the ball earlier and caught my shin bone on an opponents blades on the follow through after he badly mis-timed his block.

I’m not injured or seeking advice, just some pity.

clown

You poor misfortunate stupid person.

Thanks guys. I’m on the mend already.

Jaysus I’m in a bad way. Everything I’ve eaten or drank for the past 5 days has gone through me like shit through a goose. What’s the best thing to take for an ailment such as this, bearing in mind I’m unable to leave the house at the moment due to the unpredictable nature of my condition

That really depends on the cause. Is it a bug, dysentery, AIDS?

most important not to get dehydrated. throw half a teaspoon of salt and a few desertspoons of sugar into a litre of water and sip away at it.

If you can eat at all, eat v bland food, eg toast.

Prob better to avoid dairy for about 24 hours

It could be compartment syndrome from the broken toe you have. You might die from it if you don’t get it sorted.

Thanks mate.

This compartment syndrome seems to have completly consumed my body.

I’m burning the fuck up here.

I’ll be reviewing my will as soon as I can get hold of my solicitor in the morning.

Not a wink of sleep since Fitzy pal…

I find that reading a book about some poor cunt thats in a worst state than you usually puts things in perspective.

So thanks to Mark Renton and his ongoing battle with heroin… I am going to get showered now and head to work.

And anyway… contractors dont get sick.

Thanks for your support during this illness.

You’re in our thoughts pal, stay well.

My fucking tooth and gums. Haven’t slept all night despite taking 2mg of Xanax to try and knock me out. Not good. Should have bought some fucking painkillers earlier. Schoolboy error. I’m going in to work to explain that if I take pain killers I will fall asleep and if I don’t and try and get through the day I’m liable to kill someone. And then I’m going to the dentist.

The fucking pain of it. Christ almighty.
