The Let Kev at your Back thread

Put all your weight on your bad ankle and hop on that ankle on as hard a surface as you can find for an hour

Any basis to this advice at all pal?

An old wife told me.

@Horsebox. Roll a tennis/golf ball around under you foot when you are sitting down. It keeps the blood flowing/lymph system pumping and stops swelling increasing. A good wank might make you feel better?

In that order, pal.
The 4 pillars of TFK

Which is it, lads? I took the strapping off earlier today.

Cheers, buddy. I tried this yesterday-worked a treat.

This is something I have been told/heard on a few occasions. I thought it was a widely believed fact.

I find this only provides temporary relief.

The witch doctor in Carlow would get a horse to piss on a bandage and then strap ankle in said bandage, and tell you to leave it on for a month. Give it a shot and see how it goes. I wont ask for money, but I would expect you to make some degree of donation nonetheless.

Iā€™d keep it supported buddy to keep the inflammation down and to allow it heal

Donā€™t mind thatā€¦follow Bandageā€™s advice, you donā€™t need a support. When the swelling goes down in a few days pm me and I will forward on 4/5 exercises to help you, but rest it and ice it until then.

Actually, I just reread that properly and corner back is dead right, keep it supported , no one mentioned anything about a support.

I left the strapping at home today-ankle feels weak as piss and Iā€™ve already almost rolled it again getting out of the fucking lift. Good advice.

Cunt.

@Tassotti , whatā€™s the story pal?

Go for a walk in the sea

Dead right, Mac. Horsebox, youā€™re a fucking dolphin. Just think of it as evolution. Now get into the sea and swim it better.

I was in fairly shitty form this morning and as I was passing Seapoint, the tide was in and the water looked amazing. I got a serious pang to be out there and am very resentful that I have to be in this cunt of a place now instead of out where I belong.

Anyone have any experience of vertigo?

Not the fear of heights as portrayed in Hitchcockā€™s film but the spinning/dizziness sensation accompanied by boughts of violent vomiting?

I know someone who suffers very badly from it.
