The Let Kev at your Back thread

so why did you take half a course of antibiotics you know it all blowhard?

Aw still sore about last week?

Didnā€™t want to go to a doctor for time and expense purposes. Took a calculated gamble there would be enough in the three days. There wasnā€™t so I hit a doc and told him what Iā€™d done and was suitably chastised. Hope that makes sense for you.

In other news, Iā€™m working in your beloved Galway again tomorrow. Iā€™ll be taking a shitload of money out of loughrey then Iā€™ll be back on the motorway home by 3 bells. Woo hoo!

calculated gamble? no you were just your usual braindead self taking a few antibiotics you found lying around, but couldnā€™t resist the urge to post about it, as like all fools you just canā€™t shut up. you then stated the reason for your pointless story was to advise others that when sick it might be necessary to seek medical attention! god help the poor cunts in loughrea that have to listen to you i promise you theyā€™re dreading it already, at least your an easy mark.

Aww. Now that hurts. To think that just an e-while ago I was encouraging you with your efforts to get your fitness back on track and now It seems youā€™ve well and truly got the hump. Well Iā€™ll have a long hard look at myself now. Thanks for taking time out of your gap year to set me straight.

I think I have some sort of stomach acid issue. Uncomfortable, cramp type feeling in the upper abdomen all week but has gotten worse today. Tried some bisodol there but itā€™s not having much of an effect.

I get the same thing. Go to the chemist and ask for Acidophilous (I may have misspelled that) Itā€™ll sort you out.

That sounds like a Greek Center Half

Food allergy?

Iā€™ve never experienced this before so doubtful.

Breathing ok? Why would you think its stomach related

Indeed it does, but itā€™ll do the trick.

Itā€™s probably gout.

This is the stuffā€¦

It has to be live to be effective, bought from and kept in a fridge, the dried form is a placebo.

Is it worse after eating?

Are you pregnant, or is it just a food baby?

If it persists after youā€™ve taken a weeks dose of those Acidophilus tablets I would strongly advise you to go to your doctor and insist he makes an appointment for you to go and have a scan.

Iā€™m not trying to worry you here but a very good friend of mine started to feel poorly in October last with stomach pain. The pain persisted and he went to his doctor. The doctor treated him for stomach ulcers and did not send him for a scan. A month ago he collapsed in a pharmacy of all places, was taken to hospital by ambulance and had a series of tests done. The results came back a week later. Very sadly heā€™s been diagnosed with lung cancer and there is no chance of cure. He never smoked in his life. Heā€™s been given 2-3 months to live. This man is 75 and was active his whole life.

5 years ago he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was cured of it. Unfortunately they didnā€™t remove his prostate at the time, this lung cancer he has now is secondary cancer stemming from his original prostate cancer. He was also told he has it in the bones as well. If his doctor had sent him for the scan in October they would have caught it time, that is the really sad part. Itā€™s a tragedy for such a decent person and such a loving family.
There are plenty of stories like this. As I said it maybe something minor you have but if it persists do not hesitate on insisting to your doctor to send you for a scan.

Chance 3 or 4 nexium and see how things feel in the morning
