The Mac and Treatystones Beer Thread

Fact, there’s a strawberry cider here that I’d love to taste, but I’d say it’d be like drinking a pint of sugar

Cider is grand for a pint or two on a hot evening but any more is torture the next day

Drinking an aspel cider at the moment. Not bad. Kind of like apple juice

Had a humming beer before that nice enough, kind of a sweet taste off the end[/quote]

Scratch that humming beer review, it’s not nice at all

Tried the strawberry cider between us, delicious like strawberry flavoured water.

Drinking a pint of red stripe at the minute. It’s a beer, harsh kick off the end, nice enough for an initial impression

Few bottles of 8 degrees howling gale pale ale watching the match, lovely stuff, perfect for weather.

I was raging at myself for not thinking of going to Dunnes during the day to pick up a few bottles of the sunburnt irish, now I’m extra raging that I’m after remembering I could have cut up to the Off Licence on Fr Russell Road if I’d thought of it. Had to make do with a few bottles of O’Hara’s pale ale instead.

The o’haras is nice in fairness but the 8 degrees is fresher tasting. Prob should have gone half an half with a couple reds for later on.

My diet has been great this week but a few bottles last night and a few tonight, big night tomorrow, and probably a few for match Sunday will pretty much ruin a good week.

+1 to all of that. Have needed a few bottles all week to calm the nerves.

Runty, any truth in the rumour that your best club player is moving in to buy a house in Meadowlawn? We could have a red jersey on him next year

Hasn’t lived locally for a good few years. Doubt this move would be any different.

You must have it wrong. I’m not moving anywhere.

RTT, Runt, try again.

Rubbish, my local serves guiness as good as you will get in 90% of irish pubs.

Bullshit

Runt knows the score

Have you tried it ?

Have you tried Guinness in 90% of the pubs in Ireland?

I’ve sampled it in plenty places - most of them are average at best.

Fuck me. I had a lovely selection of beers last night… A couple of litre bottles of Brugse Zot dubble, 4 hoegaargen , 1 Chimay blue and an Erdinger. I can only open one eye at a time thus far tho.
