Agreed. Some lad on Matt Cooper rated it as film of the decade. It was grand but not up to expectations.

He’s still living off that, and it was a curates egg of a production I thought.
Well he made Veep since which was very good too and was very well received. He also has a new show starting on HBO in a few weeks. And his David Copperfield movie adaptation is also out around the same time and has positive reviews.
So, I don’t think he’s been living off The Thick of It at all.
Haven’t seen the David copper field one. Thought Veep was mediocre and packed it in.
