Been done before but I’ll watch this… I urge all forumites to read Empire of the Summer Moon cc @TheUlteriorMotive @flattythehurdler
A remake of a much older film basically
Which one?
Ah here
Oh give me a minute or so, think a John Wayne one, the child was the daughter of a pastor or somewhat, and was really native Indian in thought and deed by the time he brought her home
The searchers
To think two old farts had to tease out the name of The Searchers
Netflix ?
I was referring to a book.
Apparently now a movie
Has it been released?
I had to ask because any reviews I read said the movie was based on a book written in 2016.
So I suppose it’s a bit like True Grit as well. So I donno.
There were a small few real life famous cases of white women being kidnapped and rescued or returned a few years later. Mostly it didn’t get talked about tho as everyone knew they were raped… and it wasn’t an ordinary rape by a white man,bit was rape carried out by beasts/sub humans… It’s one if the main stories in the Searchers but is never verbalised… That’s why Wayne is so willing to kill his niece.
Ralph Fiennes is always worth a look.
That’s no 1 on Netflix currently, haven’t watched it
In Russian but I’m going to take a chance on it.
Verdict?
It worked. And how humanity benefitted.
Ah, give me a chance.
I’m stuck in Modus (Swedish TV series) at the moment. It’s not too bad. Not making 100% sense at times. Might be the subs a bit off.
