He’s doing gods work

All just caught up in the moment…and the moments it took to learn the words i suppose.

A sad state of affair for these fellas, suddenly seeing their bigotry in the spotlight. Its equally fascinating to see their apologists coming out and saying thats just the way it is in the north, one lot as bad as the other etc. Absolute bollox. Theres no equivalence and this is just the indoctrinated mindset that created everything from discriminatory council house allocations to romper rooms, and everything in-between.

Agreed

There are some sanctimonious cunts about on twitter.
@glenshane is right. It’s the entire culture that breeds this bile. People are raised into it though.

@glenshane would the townies be more sectarian than the culchies up there? I.e. would the big Unionist farmer sitting on 150 acres of good land be bothered with all the anti Catholic chants etc?

Carlsberg and Corrs light… That’s the kind of degenerate we’re dealing with here.

Is that Jim and Andrea’s cousins?

Drove from Newry through Armagh and Aughnacloy to Letterkenny yesterday. Went through lots of little Unionist enclaves with posters about no border in the Irish sea. All villages with very high end houses, etc.

You could literally draw a line through the most fertile land for farmers through Ulster, extending in to east Donegal, and it’s all owned by Unionists/Protestant farmers. You’d think they’re interests would be better served through EU trade and subsidies for farming. Ignorance and stubbornness are cruel masters.

On the flip side a lot of the poorest Republucan areas are all for a United Ireland when they wouldn’t get anything like the state benefits thatvthey have within the UK.

A lot of these lads seem to be from South Derry. Tobermore and desertmartin were always regarded as pockets of particular bitterness- proudly 100% prod etc, nearby magherafelt on the other hand was easy going and mixed. Its hard to generalise- you’ve places like ballymena, Ballymoney and Coleraine that have a sort of a more human, planter, sotch or religious strain. Then there’s portadown, bangor, Newtownards etc that have monoblocs of protestant housing estates- they’d would featureless without the 12th, the queen, bigotry etc…jamie bryson territory.
In general the culchies aren’t as bad, but the majority of people have moved on everywhere. I’m actually a bit shocked to discover that these lads aren’t all from belfast, north down or portadown. They’re most likely mixing and working with Catholics daily…they might be right fellas day to day, but with a small well partioned section of their lives given over to irrational hatred. Its hard to fathom the mindset that would be bothered to learn the words to that song, they probably think its brilliant.
I suppose bigotry is becoming more and more a ‘lower class’ pursuit. The taigs are everywhere now and it would hard for intelligent prods to maintain any illusion of superiority. Sure we’d only laugh at them

In the likes of Belfast The Protestant working class must have had a serious slide over the years … before they would have been looked after in the likes of H&W but that day is gone … a lot of bums with nothing to do but be angry …easily stoked too I’d say …

And stoked up, ghettoised and sectarianised for decades by the likes for the dup

But would it be a thing that the catholics had to educate their way out of ghetto over the years where the Protestants could walk into jobs that they now no longer can and it’s made them areas in Belfast and the like even worse ?

The Unionists think they’re losing but are in fact winning, the Nationalists think they’re winning but are in fact losing.

The narratives spun by both sides suit both sides (although the Shnners try to spin two fundamentally conflicting narratives simultaneously) and they are both wrong.

In NI everybody basically hates each other and is ultimately happy for that situation to continue, so in the long run NI will always lose.

I heard an interview there with a unionist bint on rte a few months back. Giving out yards because the Catholics were getting all the university places.
