The Official 2011 Club Championship Thread

what ever happened to good time charlies in howth?

Laois won by three apparently - don’t know anything beyond that.

This new place in Rathmines seems to be doing fairly well. A big queue outside it all night

Cheers Turenne, I’d be interested in hearing the side Cork put out if you come across it on your travels.

13 Cork underage players on that team. Ya, Cork hurling is fucked alright.

Turenne - Not enough of them from East Cork maybe(in fact none of them are)? How do you not rate Cashman, Clifford, Dillon or O’ Callaghan?

Dillon was playing his first game full back in a year, has been midfield and centre back all along. Think some Limerick lad got injured.

Cork’s 2nd U-21 team played Laois, the first team beat Dublin friday night by 8 points.

No Seniors played.

CIT is always all Cork players sure who else would fucking go there?

DR Crokes and Nemo moved to Mallow…

Disappointed to see lads discussing I/C teams on this thread

More Wexford filth

You won’t see a better point kicked all year than Crokes opening point by the Gooch.

Pure class

I switched off after that as it was obvious Nemo wouldn’t be able to live with them.

Some comeback there - Crokes only lost by 2 at the end after being 13 down at half time - the last score being a goal in injury time.

What happened in the Oulart match…

Dillon is too slow and sluggish even for full-back, Clifford tends to be very hot and cold, is small and we have better prospects at corner forward, haven’t seen O’Callaghan play in a few years tbf and I rate Cashman relatively highly.

Yer man Quinn was excellent for UL today Puke. Got a cracker of a goal and was UL’s best player alongside Pa Cronin.

Andrew always was and always will be a class act…His I/C days are behind him though…Was fine and disillusioned by his treatment under Mike Mac…

One of the soundest men you will meet

I heard since Cork had 6 or 7 of the All Ireland team on show. I’d imagine they’re a long way off where they should be if Laois are beating them down in Mallow, which is understandable given their long lay off.

What age is he? Thought he was a young fellow.

Was minor in 1998-2001 so it would make him 28 at some stage this year…

Indeed, and you wouldn’t mind but Kev has been saying Cork hurling is fucked and devoid of the players for ages now.
