Tradition baaiii!

I thought a man of the world like Fagan would know a thing or two about mushrooms.

Yeah.

Strange one, what’s the background to him wanting to change clubs?

i agree 100% with this

post cycling to and from work i take my loyal dog for a 2 hour walk in the evening

fuck sitting down after spending all day sitting at work

His Auld lad is Senior Hurling manager at Sars and not very good. Sars has been torn apart after years of success. Their Junior team last year was like most senior teams due to lads unwilling to play

Is he moving because of his annoyance at how his auld lad has been treated by other players / committee or has he fallen out with him himself?

I would say on the face he is pissed off at how TMac is being spoke about.

However deep down i think he knows. I saw him more than once react to his dad in a kinda “would you ever calm the fuck down” kinda way. I would imagine he is well aware of his dads limitations

That’s the question. I assume the way his father is treated but then again his father brings a lot of it on himself.

He is still his dad though. Cian is a nice lad - sensitive at times and that is understandable.

A windy evening here in the.bridge

Transfer done today…Shane Bourke from Tipp transferred to Douglas also?? They’ll be favs for county now?

Unlikely, backs are still rubbish. They have maybe three senior quality defenders. All their talent is in the forwards.

Mind you with Sars and Midleton going backwards it’s wide open.

Good win for Cork against a strong Clare team.

Cork will peak and then tank in May/June, maybe even earlier.

I have come to the conclusion that all training before 12 weeks before when you need to be ready is fluff and should largely be spent on skill and specialist develooment (skill weaknesses, particular athletic weaknesses).

So lets say you are aiming for middle of June then you really shouldn’t start training seriously till March.
Cork started in Novemeber. Now its arguable you could do it in 2 cycles, but to do that it would mean not making play-offs of league and nobody playing club championship to allow for a complete ease off in March/April.

Agreed re training - what you would do if you had complete control and in a “normal” sport but it is high risk to write off the league, ship a couple beatings and hope it comes right on day 1 of championship or you don’t draw a strong team in backdoor day 1

Counties lose players for 2 or 3 weeks once league is over

Most managers won’t do that and a trainer who suggested it would not be allowed to do it, in my view.

If you accept we won’t win the all ireland regardless then that would probably be an improvement of a season if we got a good league performance out of it.

Albeit probably by accident rather than design

Cork definitely aren’t in a position to do this. Confidence and get back to any kind of winning habit vital asap.

I’m no S&C expert but I’d imagine you will get a lot more improvements on all fronts with a happier camp
