Did they not think of joining a gym. Itâs good enough for a lot of the populace .
Hurlers hammering Limerick

Is that a misprint?
No. 7-22 to 1-19 was final score.
Weâre back lads.

Is there a purpose to flogging Horgan like this? McLoughlin at center-back again.
Good point. Hard to argue with it.
Haha. Referencong a martin Brehenny article.
Heâd really know what it takes alright As much as the CB do. Not a notion whats needed.
Cork having a gym built by the players is actually a good thing. A sense of ownership and bonding will come from that.
Having it in Fermoy is fucking bananas. How this has not been pointed out i donât know.
Now i do know for individual sessions they use Fitnessworx, which is owned by Robbie Williams the S&C Coach, i see them there regularly. Obvioysly they are doing some of the strength work after training, which makes sense.
Having West Cork lads go to Fermoy is mental. Its clear Kelly packed it in due to the set up.
Agreed 100% on the first point. Own club did same players wanted it was no cash for it they raised the money organised the gear sorted all out themselves. Far more meas in it as a result
Think its only a temp set up in fermoy by sounds of it though? And if doing all their pitch training there it probably makes sense
Albeit why fermoy was picked I do not know.long way for West cork lads alrightâŚwould you be that hard up for a pitch if you were willing to block book for 70 or 80 sessions?
Cork just werenât very good and were mentally weak. That is why they only managed to stumble over their line for their solitary AI this millennium in 2010, which is ranked as the softest of the past 20 years.
Cork were overrated.
Oh dear God, what have I done ?
You knew exactly what you were doing.
That down team hasnât raised a gallop since.
I have absolutely no idea what youâre talking about
Cork were a top 5 team who banged on the door for the best part of a decade, not unlike this Mayo side shall we say. Unlike Mayo, when someone else finally downed (pun intended) Kerry (see Donegal for Mayo) for them, they went ahead and then finished off Down, but only just about.
They were an entirely functional team, who had a solid free taker in Goulding, a rising star in OâNeill and a talented if somewhat journeyman in DOC, and credit to DOC, it was he who stood up on the day when it looked like no one else was going to. They had the perfect lad to blackguard Martin Clarke all day, and Clarke just wasnât able for it. Stop Clarke, and you stopped Down, as the rest were pretty average, apart from Coulter, who was dogged from years of being blackguarded in the Ulster Championship. Sure there was players like Kevin McKernan and Dan Gordon, but they were a level down from the top, and couldnât be everywhere either.
When Mayo got their similar chance against Donegal, they fell asleep in the first half, and while not quite shitting the pot, they fucked themselves up as only they can.
Best of luck to them, they have their medals, I doubt they care all that much.
