The Official Cork GAA 2017 Thread

Who is to say they lined out exactly like that. Point is its far too talented a team to lose to Killeagh.

But thats tge paper team and generally they report it as the refs report

Report here. @anon7035031 @ChocolateMice @mickee321 @the_mixer_walsh and our other resident neo-nazis will be seething when they see the Killeagh subs.

Cork racism on display, leaving the black lad on the bench.

Fuck yeah, that Smiddy lad must be a long way from home, is he a pariah in Castlemartyr?

Wrong Smiddy. No relation.

Smiddy and Abernethy are two names that I have inextricably linked in my head with Castlemartyr, it was a gag.

U-16 and U-15 hurling squads.

Is this cunt the stupidest fucker on the face of the earth?

Speaking to Corkā€™s RedFM, Lane added: ā€œOur policy from here on is that weā€™ll be appointing coaches as opposed to managers. We did that with the U21 hurlers last year, with John Meyler coming in as manager. Thatā€™s going to be our policy going forward. I suppose the coach is the manager, but weā€™ll be moving away from the term ā€˜managerā€™.ā€

I got the inside word from the dressing room ā€” Complacencyā€¦ Thought they just had to get through the game whereas Killeagh were like men possessed.

And Myler didnā€™t coach. Sean Barry did.

When are they going to drop that Rebel moniker. Itā€™s offensive to non Rebels.

Just saw now that Ronan McCarthy has gotten the poisoned chalice,
Good appointment Iā€™d say, knew him very well in our underage days and heā€™s a solid fella, I heard great things about him from Douglas acquaintances as well,
What do you think @caoimhaoin?

Delighted. He was my coach for about 5 months and had a huge effect on my general approach. I definitely took a slightly different path after meeting him. Just wish i had the whole year.

He would have won the county with us had the hurlers not moaned their way to getting rid of him due to money. Jokeshop. Was the start of our decline

He empowers players. He is as close to a lay psychologist you could imagine. He has a philosophy on football, not a structured way of playing.

He is stoic and dour in ways but is actually a great guy and very engaging and interesting.

Cork are coming ā€¦ the standard at minor hurling is off the hookā€¦ Douglas/Piarsaigh game recently was unraleā€¦ My physio, former Clare physio, couldnā€™t believe the standard but likewise then canā€™t believe how tame standard at senior club is - heā€™s doing some work for a few clubs- Says the top Clare/Limerick clubs would ate the pick of emā€¦ As a few hurling men have said to me down here, they are all still obsessed with the Donal Oā€™Grady tippy tappy stuffā€¦ Still, underage looks to be kicking on in a big way.

I see they gave adopted the Galway template and have the eye in for the big lads now. There are a fair few big lads on their current minor team

There have been plenty of big lads on underage Cork teams mate, most of them just couldnā€™t hurl.

TBH if Sheehan and Turnbull are out as seems likely I canā€™t possibly see how Cork will stay within 6 points.

Clubs/schools doing great work. Places like Midleton, Carrigtwohill, Sarsfields and the city clubs have upped the ante, as have a lot of the smaller clubs.
