The Official Cork GAA 2017 Thread

No they seem to have made a balls of that alright.

Poor decisions going back a while.

Coming from somebody with such an ingrained identity as yourself that really hurts

Cark is special.

Well what do you ā€˜considerā€™ yourself ffs thatā€™s just daft

Excluding Considine and tom cashman (didnt preside over championship games) the clubs of the cork senior hurling managers in reverse order starting with Myler

St Finbarrs (myler)
Tracton
St finbarrs
St catherines
St finbarrs
St finbarrs
Sars
Blackrock
St finbarrs
Glen rovers

St finbarrs
Glen rovers

Blackrock
Glen rovers
St finbarrs
Newtown (fr troy)

Some Barrs influence there. They havent won a county senior club in 25 years now but have four recent cork managers rwo recent limerick managers and the list excludes ger cunningham also from the barrs who was dublin manager last season

They actually had a half decent culture of coaching its just it got dated.

Also i think being friends and all that they were bound to be working off each other in terms of what the rewards were etc.

There was a cuteness to the Barrs and Rockies that the Glen & NaP didnā€™t have. I can personally remember 2 counties NaP threw away with mad stuff. My auld lad said once Ring retired the Glen were the same.

I think you see that even in the coaching post careers.

Unbelievably city focused as well. Fr Troy the only one more than a half hr from PUC!!!

would JBM still have a few pints of a Sunday?

Meyler a bit of a dictator. It will all end in tears.

thats what young lads need these days, they think they know it all

The Canon was a West Cork man.

he liked the odd punt as wellā€¦
cc @Mac

and a sausage supper from Lennoxes

i thought that was Gerald McCarthy

A valley rovers man. He is listed for blackrock when he was cork manager though

Donal Og would love that

No Gerald got a bullet in the Post.

Iā€™ve done the same for Kilkenny for roughly the same time period
