Serious questions for Captain Cummins to answer about not declaring earlier on Saturday and having another 10 overs to bowl at England before stumps on Day 4. The Australian government might throw him into a gulag for getting it wrong.
It’s amusing the way the British fans are treating avoiding defeat by a hair’s breadth as some class of a victory.

In fairness it’s all relative.
That was a classy knock of 77 from Zak Crawley. More like the form he showed in 2020 and the 267 against Pakistan before the difficult second year of 2021. It’s unfortunate that it took until the 3rd test for the penny to drop with the selectors that Crawley and Bairstow should both be in the starting line up.
The final test of a magnificent Ashes series due to start shortly in Hobart. Bit of rain around but it probably won’t be enough to help the poms salvage another draw.
Hard to know how much motivation Australia have for this one. The first ever Ashes test to be held in Tasmania will certainly inspire us, but difficult enough to get pumped up for another meaningless test against the poms.

It looks like Old Trafford on the opening day of the county season in April.
