The Official England Cricket Team Supporters thread

5/245

6/254

7/255.

Unreal good catch by the much maligned glove man.

Terrific stuff from Woakes to end an enterprising (cc Ger Canning) knock by Marsh.

Weā€™re in a good position now on 255/7. Need Wood to finish off the tail quickly now.

dont want to be pedantic but please please put up the score in the correct format, throws me everytime

We invented the game in England. Thereā€™s a Convicts supporters thread here somewhere for Paddy Cricex to post scores up incorrectly on, if he wishes to.

299/8 at stumps on Day 1. Good to pick up the wicket of Carey late in the day.

Watched highlights earlier.

Impressive bowling & fielding performance.
Woakes really is a fighter.

Some great use of the Reviews too by Stokes tbf and he didnā€™t flitter any away either.

Youā€™d still fear theyā€™re brittle with the bat though so still wide open.

England bowled really well all day in conditions that werenā€™t that conducive to bowling. Needing a win and with a lot of bad weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday, they had little option other then to field. The fact that 6 of the Australia top 7 all got into the 30ā€™s would suggest thatā€™s itā€™s not a bad batting track.

England are going to need to post a big first innings total.

Iā€™m off to the pub now for this and the little prince taking a part royal Liverpool.

Racing from leopardstown and Killarney is the real icing on top.

1/130.

Crawley has put the foot down since lunch.

Cummins with a brutal drop of Ali there.

And now Khawaja has just taken an absolutely unreal catch.

Ali on the pull, straight out of the middle, but taken on the dive at wide mid on.

130/2

Moeen falls after a useful knock of 54.

Iā€™m still in my running gear after getting home from my morning run at 9.15am. Between tipping away at spreadsheets, the Ireland WNT World Cup opener & now the cricketā€¦what a day for the wfh campaigner. Crawley took Hazlewood for 13 from the first 4 balls of that last over. 83 not out from 81 balls now. 2/151, 90 runs in the first hour after lunch. Iā€™ll have my morning shower during the tea break in an hour.
