That mix up tonight between Damo and Paul about whether or not Mairead was pregnant was absolutely vintage Carrigstown.

Is Fair City (or other soap operas) set in the Covid world with masks etc or have they ignored it in their story lines.
I asked the wife the same question.
It’s generally ignored in the story lines as the soaps run about six weeks behind real life. The pub scenes are generally empty. They stand well apart. I’d say they have their own little acting pods and if you engage with a different pod, then you have to wear a mask. Just guessing that’s how they do it and how they avoid wearing masks most of the time.

I’m not sure what it is for the last couple of months but for most of the time since covid fair City has been awash with masks. No reference to it in story but used in scenes. Ros na run on the other hand pretty much ignored masks. They were very occasional. They had similar rules re storyline etc about keeping characters /stories in pods etc.
No masks for the last few months anyway.

I didn’t realise Richie was actually dead until last night. Hard to know from the body language. There’s probably some complete randomer without an apparent motive trying to frame Tommy.
If only there was a mentally unstable person whose reemergence coincided with the height of Richie’s badness?
