Vorsprung Der Tesche!!

@FAWAZ_ALHASAWI @fawaz_alhasawi1 · 39s

We have signed German midfielder Robert Tesche on a free transfer. A very warm welcome. #nffc

Has played 235 times in Bundesliga for Hamburg & Armina Bielefeld. According to Raphael Honigstein, he is an unspectacular but solid defensive midfielder who’s main strength is keeping hold of the ball.

Wilkommen Robert!

Brian Clough hated Liverpool therefore i like Forest. We could do with Notts Forest and Sheffield Wednesday back in the premier league.

Andy Reid is a fucking phenomenom

Highlights of the big game yesterday including Daves debut goals for his beloved Forest. Also featuring some shocking defending from Danny Fox who does seem to be playing out of position

Superb result at Dean Court tonight. Bournemouth battered us for the first 60 minutes. Forced numerous corners and probably could have gone in three up at half time were it not for Darlow’s heroics. Pearce took off the under-performing Antonio and Fox during the break, bringing on Hunt and Osborn. It paid dividends as we looked a far more balanced team in the second half. Osborn kept the ball better and allowed Reid to come into the game more. Hunt did brilliant for the run and cross that led to Fryatt’s winner. Hobbs was a rock at the back and Darlow as already mentioned was our man of the match.

Not many teams will go to Bournemouth and win. They’ve only lost the one game at home since last December. Fantastic resolve and spirit shown by the guys tonight. Psycho’s influence rubbing off on them.

That’s 3 in 3 for Dave now, he’s already well on his way to repaying that £5m transfer fee.

Henri Lansbury: Nottingham Forest midfielder ‘agrees’ new deal
Nottingham Forest’s Henri Lansbury is close to signing a new contract, according to manager Stuart Pearce.

The 23-year-old midfielder has two years left on his current deal, but has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Burnley.

Negotiations had been ongoing since January and Pearce is eager to keep the former England Under-21 player.

“I had a text from the agent saying he was happy with the terms offered,” Pearce told BBC Radio Nottingham.

“As far as I am concerned it’s a case of getting him down and getting him to sign the contract.”

Bout time he made up his mind. He played us off against Burnley for the last few weeks.

His agent did. That’s just how football is nowadays. Henri is a RED, he HATES Derby

10 points from 12 and where we want to be after 4 games. Playing with real pace and style at the moment, really impressed with Pearce’s tenure so far.

Similar start to last season but we have far more goals and depth this year. I don’t think Pearce will make the same mistakes as Davies who ran his players into the ground. Chronic injuries were par for the course through both of his stints at the club. We were 4 points off automatic promotion in mid February before the injuries hit. By season’s end when I went to see them play Brighton on last day, we had 16 first team members injured. 2 lads made their debuts that day, so short of players were we.

Unlike last season, we have strikers who score goals - both Assombalonga & Fryatt can hit 20 goals each. It would take Simon Cox four seasons to score that many! And that’s why he’s now at Reading. We now also have two out and out natural wingers in Chris Burke & Michail Antonio, with 5 goals between them so far this season. Burke is the best winger in the division, he used to terrorise us when playing for Cardiff & Birmingham. I’m not saying we will definitely go up, but this is the best equipped Forest side in many years. Certainly the best since our last promotion in 1998. And I’m normally very pessimistic & ultra cautious about bigging up our chances.

I see that The Congo have named Assombo in their provisional African Nations qualifying squad despite him never having played for them at any level in the past. Although born in Zaire he does have roots in Congo although if, as expected, he gets called into the England U-21 set-up next month any fears of him missing for African Nations Cups and the like can be put aside I’d say.

What sort of team are you putting out against us this evening? We’re usually miserable in the cups (well, since the 20s) so I’d expect an away win either way…

Strong enough side with probably our 1st back 4 and Lansbury returning to the side and scoring in a 2-0 away win. Veldiche and Tasche made their debuts tonight. Huddersfield were unlucky they came up against the form team tonight, ye’d beat the pick of Utd/Celtic no bother

Fantastic header from Vaughan to night for our opening goal
Henri took his goal well, great to see him back and playing 90 minutes. Tesche did well too by all accounts. Osborn had a good outing and I would like to see him have more first team opportunities, he was very impressive when put in the starting XI by Gary Brazil last season.

A trip to Spurs up next in the Littlewoods Cup, should be a good one, probably the two best sides around based on current form. Lijah and Antonio picked up knocks last night not sure how serious yet. Highlights of that game here

Lovely touch at around 4.50 there, the type of camaraderie we have come to expect from two clubs renowned worldwide for their commitment to sportsmanship:clap:

After the game Pearce went over to the Forest fans in the away section, climbed the rails and gave his coat to this young lad

The man is pure class, easily the greatest Englishman who ever lived. (After Clough)

Hard working 1-0 at hitherto unbeaten Wednesday:clap: Lansbury goal, Mancienne MoM, what another fantastic signing:clap:. Had to knuckle down hard today to get the 3 points, the kind of victory Champions are made of. 5 games 13 points, a well earned rest now. Up next the sheep in 2 weeks:pint:
