I know mate, I know.
Iāll try better.
Is this good stuff, Iām looking to order beans online as my usual haunts are closed,
Itās not at all expensive,
THANKS20 gets you 20 per cent off. I find it nice but I am not a connoisseur. I use it in an Aeropress or a French press mainly.
Badger and Dodo open on Barrick St in Cork.
Picked up some new coffee and accessories. Realised I was spending a fortune on take away coffees before all this.
I very rarely get takeaway coffee unless itās for a journey.
I drink coffee mainly for a quiet place to sit.
I got one before and it was great an all but gets all a bit tedious after a while. If you like espresso or straight coffee then great but I like flat whites and thereās no real home remedy for these. Iāve tried heat the milk in the microwave but itās only a pale comparison to what you get off a Barista.
If youāve a nitro bullet try my turmeric coffee as posted above. A hand blender might do the job too.
As in what, make the coffee, heat the milk and whizz it up in the bullet??
Pick up one of these bad boys. They do the job for flat white / latte type coffees. Pretty idiot proof too (I use it twice a day and make a pretty good flat white now
230 quid?? I suppose if this wfh continues and the shops donāt open then itās money well invested. Looks the job in fairness.
We have it about 4 weeks now, and based on 2 take away coffees a day at 2.50 a pop its nearly paid for itself allowing for the price of coffee, milk and electricity etc.
The moka pots are great, and Iām sure the Congolese coffee passes the hipster test.
Itās a bit of distraction while I am home and means I limit the more destructive interest of red wine tasting and faffing to the weekend.
Iād hardly post the photo of the coffee otherwise
Yep. I imagine it would whip up a decent flat white. The teaspoon of nut butter and turmeric takes it to another level though. Iād be an espresso or black coffee man but itās a lovely drink for a change.
Anyone ever tried these lads?

More trouble than itās worth, the only thing Nespresso has in its favour is convenience, having to load the pod is hell.
Incidentally this is my coffee of choice at the moment, best Iāve had in Ireland
Neighbours of yours?
Barna is. Never heard of ahaglugger great name and all as it is.
Right lads, talk to me pls.
The Nespresso machine is done with, coffee pods too expensive and itās middling fare anyway.
Recommendations on a machine please will,
- make me expresso / americano
- foam milk for the Boss
- easy to maintain
- makes a hot beverage ( some machines Iāve tried serve up lukewarm shite )
Anyone have a Barista Express Black Sesame Machine? She has her eye on one of those.
