The Official TFK Fad Thread

Reiki, like acupuncture, is a load of bollox and a scam. In multiple studies, there has been zero difference found between “real” and “sham” reiki and “real” and “sham” acupuncture. They are all placebo, if you believe something you will find some evidence to confirm it.

Give your hard earned money to a professional masseuse instead, that will remove your stress.

Acupuncture is good for taking away some pain. I had on the day on a rugby match and been honest it worked as a temporary quick fix.

Sure yoga is the best one. Stretching the gee and farting is all those clowns are doing.

No question that there’s an awful lot of pretentious gouls at it, but yoga taught by an actual properly trained instructor (not the seemingly every second cunt these days who claims to be a yoga instructor) and practiced properly has tremendous mental and physical benefits.

There are some mugs out there…

Girl from work got it done recently. Apparently all of the negative energy in her body left in the form of uncontrollable “burps” from the reiki “master”.

The reiki master is also, of course, a medium too. That’s the reason she gave for charging €120 for an hour.

Was he sceptical beforehand?

Never underestimate the power of the placebo. Do what you need to do.

Would you ate one?

Why don’t you try it? As a devout sceptic and man of science you’ll obviously be able to see through it if it’s bullshit.

For the same reason I don’t try jumping off buildings to see if I can fly.

Hywel, sorry, Huel.

One results in death and the other results in you having a relaxing time. Not really the same in my book.

He’d probably find it hard to relax while roaring his head off that there’s no scientific basis for reiki and questioning the immigration status of the practitioner.

Where can we get these placebos?

Wherever you believe you can

Bone conduction headphones.

Absolute gamechanger.

Sound travels through the eardrums and bones simultaneously. The result? headphones that deliver unrivaled situational awareness and comfort.

Basically, if you’re still listening to music through your earphones, you’re as well to throw your mp3 player, or whatever other redundant technology you’re using, out the window.

You might as well put your head in a microwave oven cc @KinvarasPassion

The headaches will start soon enough. The balance will go.
