Killed them 2 weeks ago, they averaged out €1650 a head with very little meal given. All 28-29 months old. Was delighted. Will buy more early next year and do the same.

April-Sept doesn’t tally for yearlings to 28/29 months. It’ll save you explaining ad nauseum to the non-agri sector.
Yes I bought 7 of them @ €750 a head in February 2020 off a dairy farmer in the local area all were March/April 2019 on the cards and all were AAX. We have a great run of ground so they were left to graze the place during the winter and they were sound as a bell no silage was given.

Keep it simple.
I done much the same with the batch before them and finished them in August 2019 and they averaged 1200 a head. Some difference with the factory dockets beside each other.

That’s a blast from the past.
Sad news,a local farmer from Kilcornan was killed out by Bunratty today when the jeep and trailer turned over on the dual carriageway. He was towing a few cattle afaik and the jeep was an old land rover.Seen a picture of it and the cab was completely levelled.
Fuck it, I heard about the accident but didn’t know he was local.
