Fly tags - just watched rare breed farming doc
Supposed to keep the fly’s away

It will stop the flies landing on that section of their ears.

Your man explained that it’s vital and worth trying as flies bothering pregnant cows can cause stress leading to abortion

Wtf did you ask, mate? You watched, they explained.

Won’t the weather wash off what ever chemical is on the plastic in no time?
2.50 a pop

This is apparently a thing! Lasts up to 4 months. There’s a chemical in the tag that keeps the cunts away.

2.50 seems reasonable. In tipp they strap two cattle together and make do with one tag.

:blush::blush:take no prisoners in Tipperary

I didn’t believe that those small fly tags actually worked
As an ignoramus ref farming I was actually surprised
And no one on here seemingly didn’t know f all about them
e2.50 or 2.50 sterling seems nothing to give an animal relief
Then again on the antiques roadshow from n of Ireland a guy produced glasses for hens
something learned again

Bringing it home alright, he’ll make a fabulous henhouse out of it. Plenty of flaps for ventilation and feeding slots.
Almost like a yoke @KinvarasPassion would rave about.
