It’s really grinding his gears
The farmers have a genuine grievance and are getting nowhere with diplomacy. A bit of civil disobedience can be very effective. The water protests and the pension protests in France are testament to this.
Having said all that I see Vinny Murphy moaning on Twitter and threatening to stop eating Irish beef. Now that could be a blow that the Irish Beef industry as a whole might never recover from.

Do they have a genuine grievance? They are producing a product that fewer and fewer people are consuming and they seem to think that they should be getting a higher price for it. That is contrary to the laws of economics.

Is it not that they’re getting less for it than they got before in a world where their costs got more expensive?
Irish Farmers are getting paid considerably less than their European counterparts for beef. Goodman’s companies are making massive profits. It looks like a cartel to me.

The government controls the regulatory environment that has allowed this situation to develop, the farmers need to focus their minds.
It beggars belief that Irish farmers are being paid less than British and eu counterparts when their product is universally recognised to be better.
Beef sells for €3 a kilo, processor sells on for €10, shop can sell for up to €20.

Goodman is an awful cunt but he’s a successful business man for a reason.
There are too many splinter groups now to make any United stance. You have lads who are milking cows and producing Bull calves that are cheap as chips but not beef cattle.
They have essentially flooded the market & fucked the price.
That along with a change in populations eating habits.
The IFA is a dead dog ever since their own scandal.
If the Farmers want to make inroads with Government then they should be running Candidates in all Rural areas and hoovering up votes & seats.
Goodman controls the offal. If the other processors don’t do what he wants he’ll leave it sitting in their yard.
