We had a collie once upon a time. Relentless energy, you could walk her from morning till night and still would be looking for more. Unreal clever, but they belong with farmers where they can do their thing. She used to round up the farmers cattle beside us and send them back out the gap he’d just sent them in, never trained or anything. Some dogs

I’ve two springer spaniels as well for hunting. They’ve unreal engines.
Best dog I ever had was a terrier and he was unreal. He was a great house dog but when he was out he’d be down ever hole he could find.
Watching a good dog work is unreal. The last farm I was on had a cracking sheep dog. Once you’d start drive up his lane in the morning he’d head off for the cows. Brilliant to pack a crush as well.
He’d put the cattle in the chute?
He’d pack them one by one. He was brilliant dog. We never had sheep dogs but I think they usually only work for one person.

How many hives have you? Is it worth the effort to make your own honey? Would you need a lot of space for them?

It’s good land alright but I’m snookered in a dry year.
I’ve three hives…only bees in one as of last week- a new venture. You dont need much space but you dont want to be mowing grass beside them or having kids kicking balls at them.
Hopefully I’ll have bees in the other two before long, I’ve swarm traps up in a few places

Ah they are unreal. Best of all the dogs intelligence wise. But a bad pet, they belong at work
Tell me more about it. Genuinely interested. Wouldn’t have near the space for it, but I’d love to have something like that
