About right, earlier for the wemin. Autism is being linked to older fathers. Time and energy wise, alot depends on the kids you produce. Some kids are easy to manage, others are lunatics.
@artfoley is in his late 40s and became a father in the last few years, heâd be best placed to answer this
Have them while your own parents are young enough to help out. Itâs a big help if the grandparents are fresh enough to mind them for entire weekends while you go off on a binge.
Dont take the piss though. Myself and the misses get out about once a month and manage to get a full weekend about once a quarter. Works fine. Si much so that my own mother tells me we dont do it often enough
Congratulations Rocko, hope itâs all going well.
Only seeing this now congrats @Rocko
Having had a very painful Wisdom tooth come up a few months back Iâve huge sympathy for any baby teething.
Rocko really isnât getting the love that most new fathers get. Why is that?
Well in Rocko, hope mother and child are both doing well.
WTF? Should we go round and change a few nappies for him?
Not sure. Is the child the first theyâve had? Canât remember. If itâs their first then no we shouldnât go around and help change nappies as he needs the practice. If they have a kids already then no we shouldnât go around as they know what to do. Safe to say we arenât calling overâŚ
What? And put the father in law out of a job?
Youâll miss her all the same
lads
anyone ever been to Imaginosity inside in Dublin?
she is intent on dragging me in there today,
Yep. Harmless. Good place to avoid the rugby.
Yes. A good few times. Itâs deadly. What age is he?
Grand spot Mickee. Heâll love it.
Never go to anything like that on a weekend
They have limits on numbers and you have to book into a session
ok Mickee, fire ahead
Do it on one of your âworking from homeâ days.
2 weeks later and sheâd make a fair attempt at AmhrĂĄn na bhFiann. Iâm not finished yet.
