Why donât you let him into the cot and lie down on the floor next to it so he knows you are there? In the worst case you will fall asleep.

thats what I had to do last night, might get 10/15 mins out of him then howling againâŚI get one shot at sleep myself, once awoken thats it. a curse!

I went through a phase of lying on our bed beside our fella letting him fall asleep and then moving him when he did. Or else putting him down in the cot and leaving his door wide open with a light on outside and when he went asleep closing it over. Only other thing is to talk to them from outside the room but not let them see you. Sometimes the voice can help. If all that fails do what balbec suggests. Resorted to that 1 night too. Youâd try anything to avoid missing a nights sleep, especially during the week

Nope. Itâs viral so nothing you can do except let it run its course. Completely harmless. He ended up with a mouth full of mouth ulcers from it too. We had to resort to neurofen and paracetamol suppositories as he wouldnât take anything into his mouth
