Who is angry?
I’m your father.
No problem.
I am not your father

Princess sister must be mad for road if she left ye babysit a 5 week old!!!
Just A follow to this.
Our own doc ( who is v good) was adamant it wasn’t HFM and gave him an antibiotic which sorted him right out IMO over a couple of days
My missus then brought him to another doc who had been recommended to her as a skin expert to see could we get to the bottom of what was causing the rash, as he had also had a touch of eczema before
This doc sent missus straight to CUH to paeds with tea in her mug claiming it might have been a kidney problem and he needed a battery of tests
CUH gave him the once over anyways, 3 separate docs. In not so many words they cut the legs out of both GPs and said yes it wa actually HFM and the antibiotic was serving no purpose at all
So who the fuck knows at this stage. He’s better anyways
There is big money in fostering is there?
Neighbours here have two foster kids. Their own kids are reared and in college and they got into the fostering then. Two lovely foster kids they have and if it’s not inappropriate to say it those two kids have landed on their feet big time into a great home. The older kids are brilliant with them when they come home. Gave me a lot of food for thought
Some people are made for it.
On your issue with baba. GP’s can be lazy and find it very hard to individualize. No matter how good you think yourd is Ireland is still a GP culture of Get 'em in, get 60 yo yo’s, get them out. Specialists are paid to be right. They are salaried.
Its wrong, and controversial, but way too common not to be true. GP’s have often been the cause of serious issues going undetected. There is also an unfortunate education system in Ireland that means GP world has a nice number of people who are there for the easy life, handy money and got there thru being able to scrap thru exams. Iften they lack empathy and emotional intelligence. Often they are skilled manipulators also. People in Ireland trust their GP way way too much.
€350 per week per child. My mate in exact same scenario - two kids grown up working/in college and they have a brother and sister fostered - lovely kids. Had to go through fairly extensive vetting process which is to be expected. His wife couldn’t have any more kids after their last so it’s an arrangement she pushed for and suits them.
Fostering is tough, usually it’s short term enough which makes it hard to give them back if an attachment is made. Wife’s cousin took a five year old and six month old sisters. The five year old used panic about food in the house the whole time, asking her to check if there was food for the next day etc. Bollox of a judge sent them back to their junkie mother after a few months against protests of social services. Within another few months they were back in the system again with someone else.
This is horseshit kev. Ireland now has free gp care for under 6s. So whether you like it or not, there is no financial benefit in getting babies in out and getting the 60 quid off them. They are salaried for these kids and receive a set fee a year from the government per child.
Could it be that GP’s are now seeing so many under 6s with fuck all wrong with them except panicky parents with nothing to lose that they have become somewhat blasé and this scheme is counterproductive. I have a mate who’s missus has a path beaten to the doctors door. They had trouble conceiving etc and it will probably be their only child so I don’t blame them but I’m not sure the system is right the way it is.
I don’t think so. It’s understandable that some women are over anxious about that shit but in general people know it’s a pain in the hole bringing a kid to the doc and avoid it unless necessary.
Its free to take kids to your GP
My kids have.caught every disease and virus known to man. They liked to save their most.violent episodes for when we were on holidays so we have visited GPs all over Ireland as well as mainland Europe. Most of them we’re excellent but we came across some fair useless cunts. I honestly think an honour in leaving cert biology qualifies you as a GP in Mayo.
8 week…they were ten mins away at a civil union and were only gone 5 hours, kid.
5 hours
