best of luck as well mate
The little one i met?
yup! she wasnt too scarred! how time flies.
I have a little one starting tomorrow as well, the two older ones went back today.
First time Iâve been a little nervous because she has a slight speech impediment that makes her difficult to understand. Sheâs having therapy but it breaks my heart to think she might suffer for it in the early school days.
is she gone to a private therapist or through the state?
Weâve had a mixture of both, unfortunately her(brilliant) public therapist wasnât allowed to see her privately so weâve had to go with somebody else. she had a week in a specialist summer camp as well. Sheâs been awarded a little bit of resource time to help with phonics etc but sheâs as bright as a button so sheâll have no problem with the work, I just know that kids can be quite forthright with her saying âshe canât talk properlyâ etc, she can clam up a bit when that happens and become overly physical in her communication.
my youngest going tomorrow as well. 14 years ahead of him.
âWelcome to the first day of the rest of your lifeâ, is all you can say to them.
Just tell him make sure he doesnât end like his brother
Do you do stuff at home
Natural to worry but Iâm sure she will be fine pal. Are her big Sisters in the same school?
We do loads to be honest and sheâs really improving. The speech therapist gives us sounds to work on every week and we use an (quite expensive) app on the ipad called Articulation Station where you buy individual sounds, she enjoys that and does it very well but often falls back into bad habits once itâs finished.
They are, itâs a very big school though and she wonât see them on yard or anything. Weâll all be there for the moral support at quarter to nine tomorrow.
Whatâs up your hole?
Sensational
Heâs dead right. You have mentioned it about 15 times. Iâm surprised he ignored it this long
I suggest you have a read again.
