The Official TFK Father's Issues Thread. I don't know how they do it

So does that make sense to you? 200 for 3 months?

its probably a top up

He specified it’s 3 to 1 for babies. Can be a higher ratio for toddlers.

Its a shame people don’t get paid for such critical jobs. More nonsense box ticking exercises.

there isnt the money to pay them

state pay 340 per kid for that 1 scheme and they have a good few other ones

parents cant pay more as it takes away the advantages of working

There is always the money.

Its about putting a value on it. The cunts don’t value childrens education or health. Thats the bottom line.

yep, i agree

I’ve a very early start in the morning and this little man won’t go to sleep. I thought I had him off but he woke as soon as I lifted him up.

The staff:kid ratio goes way up as kids get older

Why did you lift him up?

Never touch a sleeping child

Kev, this duirt bean liom guff on this occasion from an irate mother, who sounds in any case a whining millennial, a,one with your ignorance of crèche staff pay does you no credit.
You should think for a moment, as should the whiny millennial, of the other kids.
The child was screaming “hysterically” I think was the term used, for over an hour. There will have been other toddlers around to whom it was/is, a new, strange, and harsh environment. Having a colleague go postal will have been deeply unsettling for them. In addition, the staff have to try and care for all children equitably, and wouldn’t have time to spend a whole day one one with a clearly distressed and upset infant.
Tell the silly hint to ring joe Duffy , and stop nipping your ear. She probably fucked the kid I to the crèche so she could do PT ,and was annoyed when her leisure activity was disturbed.

You have her wrong i would think. And she is not a client for what its worth. She could walk to the school, which she did.

She just said it all to me, and i felt it was lazy from what was being said. She was more concerned about the kid and was he in right place. She has 5 different collections every day, this was not going to throw her.

I had to move him to his cot. He was alseep in my arms.

5 kids on her own? Something doesn’t seem right there.

Fair enough. The PT bit was a wild stab, but most mothers and fathers having dropped a child off to creche for the first time, would be horrified to hear their child had been hysterical for an hour, be guilty and apologetic, and be racking themselves for a work around, rather than immediately blaming everyone else.

Is this really accurate? I would have thought skilled builders would be on more than that.

Its definitely not. I still do the odd side job and get notifications of jobs and whatnot, sometimes that includes people actually looking for employees. Finish carpenters are getting as much as 25 o/h in Leinster.

I would normally be of your thinking. But in this case its the 5th attempt, from a very smart and educated lady. When she left yer man she spent alot of time studying the single motger life, she met psychologists etc to prepare for it. That only brings you ao far of course, i would imagine she had to learn the hard way too.

As usual people want to victim blame and because its me i know lads shift tge posts and to be honests thats somewhere between funny and boring at this stage. The point remains, to me it seemed like an easy way out for the employee.

I suppose its state of mind. I know young people who work in a centra or mcdonalds and they take it seriously and are as efficient as if this was going to be their job for life, even though they will become something else. Thats just parenting and environment i suppose. I cannot remember that well maybe because i was not looking for it, but my memory even up to 10-15 years ago was that far more people were interested in doing a good job.

I worked on a roof in US in -10. It was horrible. Did we do a shit job? No. Because if for no otger reason someones house would leak. Similarily i work in 43 degrees in tge Western Desert in Oz, on a metal roof. Same idea. I fucking hated it for those couple of days. I would expect someone to make an effort with a kid.

I’m sure many lads here have similar stories.
