This is a great book. The younger kids in school love it.

What’s the background to them? Had a quick scan of website and nothing jumped out.

Eric Carle’s books are nice for younger kids.

We’re progressing on to Eddie Lenihan’s stories for kids now, and they’re going down pretty well so far.

Mine fell down the stairs twice when I was minding him. The first time was the first time I’d realised he had learned to crawl.
It’s a bit of an upset.
Keep her lit EG.

That’s unreal value.
Those books are €10 each in Easons.

Seagulls are evil bastards.
Just look at the sneery head on the cunt on the front of the book.

Unreal.

Mrs. Fran picked up that pack, half of them for our own, the other half to be used as birthday gifts for friends

Mrs Fran sounds like a very practical lady.

I just ordered a set there for delivery on Christmas eve.

I’ve most of them bought already, individually :rage:

Thank’s be to fuck she is, God knows what would happen if that sort of stuff was left up to me

:weary:

The Snail and the Whale is a firm favourite though, it bounces along.

Not so much The Smartest Giant in Town though.

The Gruffalo, The Paper Dolls, A Squash and a Squeeze and Room on the Broom are favourites in our house.

I think I could probably reel the Gruffalo off the bat now

I like stickman. The illustrator is a pal of my sister, who is a literary agent. She got me a copy for my daughter a little hand drawn stickman picture in.
Roald Dahl is still the very best v

The Benji Bennett story is heartbreaking but the books are poor enough, the language is suitable for an older age than the illustrations or even themes.
Donaldson is a genius, the rhyme aspect makes it much more pleasureable to read over and over, Tabby McTat is my favourite.
The library is your friend here, just avoid TV characters with the exception of Charlie and Lola who are great.

That they are. I’d imagine the book covers it in detail and the children know how to deal with them in later life.
