My godmother is the most secure and self confident person I ever met. I asked her, when I was a young and desperately insecure teenager, how did she manage to be like that. She thought on it, and said that it was because she knew growing up, that whatever happened, her parents would have her back. That is what I say to mine over and over, that whatever happens, no matter what, if they come to us and tell us the truth, we will have their back.
My reading of that Mike, would be that she may be a little nervous, but that she has the courage to face it down, and go out anyway. I’d take it, as there’ll soon enough be a phase where she won’t want to be seen dead with you.
Mine already says I’m the most embarrassing dad in the school, and that I dress like a weirdo. I went to pick her up from cubs in my pyjamas the other night just to wind her up.
Kids are the best thing ever by a mile.

Yea I did that this morning. I always take a few days off to watch the golf. I dropped her off in the pj’s. I got the “seriously Dad?” look when we were heading out the door.
Then I got the "Don’t drop me off at the front gate"speech. Still got the hug and kiss though

Here I have a question for those of you with daughters in particular. Our youngest who is eleven and in fairness has always been very affectionate has developed a bit of a trait since before Christmas. Whether she is going out to play in the front green or to a friends house, going to scoop or even to bed she insists on telling both myself and my wife that she loves us and gives us a kiss.
Last night for example her friend called to the door and they were just going out the front to play. She came into the living room to tell me what she was doing ( which us ok) but then proceeded to give me a kiss and a hug and tell me she loved me. Don’t get me wrong as I know by the time she turns 16 I will crave those hugs. I just hope she isn’t feeling insecure/unsafe. I don’t really want to address this direcly with her as I fear she’ll get the wrong impression.

Malahide castle is an excellent park. Savage playground for all ages, lovely walks overpriced nice food, big fields to run around in. 1 minute walk from the dart.

Yeah just the one. She’s like a demon at the moment as she has a birthday party on Saturday and now she won’t be able to go. Time to break out the calamine lotion

We used poxclin for our two recently worked very well. One of then got a bad dose the other no so bad. A month in total between two of em. Good to get it out of way even if doesnt feel like it
