Cluster feeding at the moment. The poor child starts balling a few minutes after being pulled away from the breast, even after a good 45 minutes to an hour of feeding. Wont settle to sleep unless a boob is presented again.
As you can imagine, my wife is at her witâs end and is threatening the pacifier or worse still bottle altogether. Iâm trying to maintain cool head but really want to continue with the breast feeding. They say the children get a growth spurt after 10 days so this is causing the extra feeding. A bloody public health nurse suggested the pacifier; I should wring her neck
Would you give the child a doody and give the poor woman a break.

A dodi and a bottle will do the child no harm. The good stuff is in their system now.

We didnt bother with any pacifierâŚits tough, but it passesâŚif the child goes down for a couple of hours see if she can express enough for a feed from one breast and keep it till later and you can feed the child when your mrs is at breaking pointâŚit will pass tho⌠Weve just come through the 6 week growth spurt , no dummy again.
But one bottle of formula is also ok ked.
Itâs obviously your first.
You are seriously over complicating things here. Let the child have a soother or a bottle if it keeps your wife sane. It wonât make a jot of difference long term.

Tis easier just expressing and bottle feeding.
Its easier again sleeping next door and having a wank.

5 month old with chicken pox.
5 year old with flu like symptoms which is probably the start of the pox. Spots are imminent. Heâs usually superb but heâs knackered now.
Other little bollox, just turned 3 last Wednesday causing mayhem. Fuck me, angel in Montessori, little shite at home, just doesnât listen. AAAAAAAHHHHH
No one tells you itâs like this!!! 18 nieces and nephews but nothing prepares you for your ownâŚ
