SKY / SKY+ STANDARD DEFINITION SET-TOP BOXES

To add new channels to your “Other Channels” section on your standard Sky or Sky+ Digibox then simply do the following…

· Press the “SERVICES” button (near the top of the remote).
· Highlight option 4 (“SYSTEM SET-UP”), press “SELECT” and then highlight option 4 again (“ADD CHANNELS”) and press “SELECT”.
· In the appropriate fields enter the information required (you move through the fields using the “UP ARROW” and “DOWN ARROW” keys).

· In the FREQUENCY field enter the 5 digit code, (it starts with either 10, 11 or 12 in the table below). Don’t worry about the full stop in the frequencies in the table below, you do not have to enter them on Sky set-top boxes.

· The next three fields are toggle fields, i.e. you use the “LEFT ARROW” and “RIGHT ARROW” keys to change the values.

Toggle Polarisation - either H or V
Toggle Symbol Rate - either 22000 or 27500
Toggle FEC - either 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8 (only 2/3, 3/4 or 5/6 are used on the SD channels below)

· Once you have entered all the required information, scroll down to “FIND CHANNEL” and press “SELECT” to scan for the channels and in a few moments it should pop up, along with other channels on the same frequency.

· Use the “YELLOW” button to place a tick beside each channel you find and wish to store and when you’ve finished ticking press “SELECT”. These channels will now be stored in your “OTHER CHANNELS” menu. (Press “SERVICES” then select “OTHER CHANNELS” at the bottom).

SKY+ HD SET-TOP BOXES
To add new channels to your “Other Channels” section on your Sky+HD Digibox then simply do the following…

· Press the “SERVICES” button on your remote and then push the “LEFT ARROW” twice until you see “OPTIONS” highlighted.

· Now press the “DOWN ARROW” on your remote and on the middle menu press the “LEFT ARROW” four times until you see “ADD CHANNELS” highlighted.

· Now, press the “DOWN ARROW” again and a few boxes will show up at the bottom which you have to enter details into

· In the appropriate fields enter the information required (you move through the fields using the “UP ARROW” and “DOWN ARROW” keys).

· In the FREQUENCY field enter the 5 digit code, (it starts with either 10, 11 or 12 in the table below). Don’t worry about the full stop in the frequencies in the table below, you do not have to enter them on any Sky / Sky+ / Sky+HD set-top boxes.

(To get to it, press “SERVICES” then press the “DOWN ARROW” then press the “RIGHT ARROW” four times (“OTHER CHANNELS” should be highlighted), then press “DOWN ARROW” again. Highlight the channel you wish to view, then press “SELECT” to view and “SELECT” again to make it full screen.

SET-TOP BOXES BY OTHER MANUFACTURERS
For the many non-Sky FTA satellite receivers that are available out there, you will have to consult your user manual for how to scan for new channels as each box has different menu systems and options.


So, the following channels (with a few exceptions, as explained in red on the table) are now available via satellite FTA (Free To Air), meaning no card is required, just tune it in and you can watch away.

All channels listed are the NI/UK variants which means there are NO blocked programmes or films, everything is unrestricted!
